Manufacturers of Natural Luxury
Leon Luxury fills a gap on the natural and organic luxury skincare market, targeting those individuals with sensitive and dry skin conditions (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis etc.).
Leon Luxury’s range of products was launched in 2023, with a pop-up shop in Aberdeen’s Trinity Centre – our workshop is based in Aberdeenshire, in the North East of Scotland. In month one, our sales exceeded our expectations, just as they have since, and more than 70% of our customers today are repeat customers.
In a very short period of time, in less than a year from our brand’s official launch, we had the privilege of being featured in numerous British lifestyle magazines, daily newspapers and online outlets.
All our products are independently tested, certified, and notified to the UK Government’s Office for Product Standards and Safety.
Leon Luxury’s elegant and sophisticated trademarked golden logo represents our values:
- evolution,
- harmony, and
- interconnectedness with nature.
Our brand is recognised by and registered with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office
Although Leon Luxury was registered in 2022, we did not launch the business before November 2023. The reasons why we chose not to launch sooner than this date are multiple:
Testing
We wanted to ensure that each of our product lines and its variations was rigorously tested, not just by our various groups of testers but, especially, by UK certified laboratories
Brand Assurance
We wanted to trademark our brand and be registered/recognised as a cosmetic products manufacturer both by the UK’s Government Office for Product Safety and Standards, as well as by the UK’s Intellectual Property Office
Market Diversity
We wanted our test certificates to be valid not just for the UK market but for the European and North American markets, too
Supply Chain Assurance
We wanted to ensure that the purity of our organic oils and butters is 100%, that they are readily available on the UK market and that their Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Allergen Declarations were perfectly suitable for our target customers. Therefore, we had to go through a very rigorous supplier selection process.
Resources
Most of all, we wanted to ensure that we had the financial and human resources required to sustain the testing, validation and launch of our products (we print all our product labels in-house, we have our own workshop where everything is handmade and quality tested; and we handcraft all our products ourselves – we even designed our own website and had to learn how to code 😊).
Our Inspiration
Our products’ luxurious and exquisite scents are meant to take our customers on a journey around the world’s most special places: it is the way we want to always remind our customers of the beauty of our natural world and of its special ecosystems.
Two of the places that are very close to our heart and to the planet’s ecosystem are the Amazon and the Caribbean, therefore two of our candles and two of our soaps are aptly named “Amazon” and “Caribbean”, and they emmulate the colours of these magic places: green and blue.
All our full-size candles come with a tiny pendant representing an amazing little creature – a bee. To us, bees are the planet’s lynchpin; without them, we wouldn’t survive. We simply couldn’t. Their healing capabilities, from the royal jelly to the honey and ending with the beeswax are treasure troves of natural miracles.
With the exception of our soaps, we use beeswax in all our candles and skincare products. We hope to do more than just to raise awareness of these miracle workers: we want beekeepers to continue to care for them, multiply their numbers and protect their habitats. This is precisely why we pledged to donate 5% of our annual net profit to the Scottish and British Beekeepers Associations.
